Dr Becky Chan has accumulated many years of general dentistry experience since graduating in 1983 from the University of Sydney. She has worked in both large and small practices, as well as having been the principal dentist of a private practice in Sydney from 1986 to 1992, treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. Becky is also fluent in Cantonese, should you prefer this to English.
Becky has participated in numerous educational courses and dental conferences to keep up to date with the latest dental treatment options. Becky strongly believes in ongoing professional development to ensure that she delivers the best dental care to her patients.
Becky places a strong emphasis on preventive dental care and her approach to dentistry is one of minimal intervention/minimal invasive treatment. Her aim is always to encourage her patients to take control of their dental health through education and through sharing with them her personal knowledge of current research findings.
Becky’s gentle approach has helped many nervous and anxious patients overcome their fear of dental treatment (and years of neglect) and has resulted in their willingness to attend regular dental check-ups and regaining their optimal dental health.
Helping people achieve a healthy mouth with a happy smile is what makes being a dentist satisfying for Becky.
Outside of dentistry, Becky spends her time attending church groups, catching up with friends, relaxing with music and reading.
